Recording Speed
Lets you choose between the two recording
speeds, SP - Standard Play, or EP - Extended Play

Repeat Play
Once playback of a video cassette has finished,
this function automatically rewinds the tape and
begins playback again. Playback may be
repeated up to 50 times.

To REPEAT PLAY
To turn Repeat Play ON or OFF
ON: Once a tape has finished it will
automatically rewind and replay
OFF: The tape will stop when playback is
finished
Press EXIT to finish
• If a non-recorded period of three seconds or
more is encountered on a tape, playback will stop
and the tape will automatically rewind.
• If you timer-record two programs back-to-back, a
non-recorded period will automatically be inserted
between programs.
Auto SP EP
This function is used with timer-recording (page
25) and with the SP tape speed. When AUTO
SP EP is on, the unit automatically calculates the
amount of time left in the recording and the
amount of time left on the cassette. If there is not
enough tape left to finish recording, the unit
automatically switches to EP speed to finish
recording on the tape available.

To set to ON or OFF
ON: The unit will automatically switch from SP
to EP speed if it detects there is not
enough tape left to finish the recording.
OFF: The tape speed will not change. The tape
may run out before the recording is
finished.

V Stabilizer
This function eliminates any vertical shaking of the
video image during playback in EP mode.

To V STABILIZER
To turn ON or OFF
Press EXIT to Finish
• Closed Captioning may not display properly
when V. Stabilizer is set to “ON”.
• After a power interruption or once a tape is
ejected, V. Stabilizer will return to “OFF”.
If V Stabilizer is turned on, V-Chip and Closed Captioning information contained on a video cassette may not be received
properly. V-Chip ratings block and Closed Caption functions may not work with V Stabilizer.
