OPERATIONS ON DVD DECK
Basic Playback
To play back a MP3/JPEG disc, see pages 49 – 51.
A
Load the disc.
● For details, refer to “Placing a Disc” (੬ pg. 8).

Select the DVD deck.
On the unit
Press VCR/DVD repeatedly so that the DVD indicator
lights up on the front display panel.
On the Remote
Press DVD so that the DVD indicator lights up on the
front display panel.

Start playback.
Press 4 PLAY.
Example: DVD VIDEO
● You can switch the display on the front display panel between
the title/chapter/track number and the playback time by
pressing DISPLAY.
● It may take a few seconds to start playback.
● When inserting a DVD or Video CD disc, a menu display may
appear on the TV screen. To play back from the menu, refer to
“Locating a Desired Scene Using the Menu of the Video CD
with Playback Control (PBC) Function” (
੬ pg. 41) or
“Locating a desired scene using the DVD menu” (
੬ pg. 41).

Pause playback.
Press 9 PAUSE.
● To resume normal playback, press 4 PLAY.

Stop playback.
Press 8 STOP.
● When “RESUME” (੬ pg. 64) is “ON,” the unit memorizes the
position on the disc where you have interrupted playback.
-To resume playback, press
4 PLAY.
-To stop playback completely, press 8 STOP again.
● Press x OPEN/CLOSE on the DVD deck to open the disc tray,
then remove the disc.
● Turn on the TV and select the VCR channel (or AV
mode).
● Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch on the Remote to the
right.
ATTENTION
● You can not use the DVD deck when the VCR deck is in
the Automatic Satellite Recording standby and recording
mode.
● You can use the DVD deck when the VCR deck is in the
timer standby mode.
● If the unit does not accept an operation, appears on the
TV screen. (Operations are occasionally unacceptable
even if is not displayed.)
