TINT
Controls the tint of the screen.
SHARPNESS
Controls the sharpness of the screen.
Y DELAY
Controls the color gap of the screen.
GAMMA
Controls the brightness of neutral tints with
maintaining the brightness of dark and bright
portions.

Adjust the level of the parameter using
CURSOR 2/3.
Moving the adjusting bar to the left reduces the
effect, while moving the bar to the right enhances
the effect.
The VFP screen disappears if no operations are made for
more than 10 seconds. You can also turn off the VFP screen
manually by pressing ENTER.
Using the 3D PHONIC function, you can get a simulated
surround effect from your stereo system.
During playback

Press 3D PHONIC.
The 3D PHONIC display appears on the TV screen.

Select the desired mode by using 3D PHONIC.
Each time you press the 3D PHONIC button, the 3D
PHONIC mode changes as follows:
ACTION
Suitable for action movies and sports programs in
which sounds dynamically move.
DRAMA
Natural and warm sound. You can enjoy movies in a
relaxed mood.
THEATER
You can enjoy sound effects like in a major theater in
Hollywood.

Press CURSOR 2/3 to adjust the effect level.
You can adjust the effect level in 5 steps.
Toward L: Reduces the effect.
Toward H: Enhances the effect.
To turn off the 3D PHONIC screen, press ENTER. The 3D
PHONIC screen disappears if no operations are made for
more than 10 seconds.

The number of setting steps depends on parameters.

NOTES
The 3D PHONIC function works correctly only when
playing back a DVD VIDEO disc recorded with the Dolby
Digital. With other sources, you cannot get any effect if
you press the 3D PHONIC button.
When playing back a DVD VIDEO disc recorded with the
Dolby Digital that does not contain the rear signal, you
cannot get a correct 3D PHONIC sound though you can
change the 3D PHONIC setting.
The 3D PHONIC function does not affect the Dolby
Digital bitstream signal from the DIGITAL output jack.
When you set the 3D PHONIC function is active, the
DOWN MIX and COMPRESSION setting in the
PREFERENCE 2 display are disabled.
