1 AUDIO OUT jacks (17, 19, 20, 21)
Outputs the multichannel signals of a DVD AUDIO disc
recorded by the linear PCM multichannel format or a
DVD VIDEO disc recorded by the Dolby Digital
surround, DTS or MPEG Multichannel format. FRONT
jacks also output stereo analog audio signals.

VIDEO OUT - VIDEO jack (17)
Outputs a composite video signal.
Note that, to use this jack, the Y/C - COMP. switch must be
set to “COMP.”.
3 VIDEO OUT - AV connector (18)
This standard 21-pin SCART connector outputs video and
audio signals. It handles the composite, Y/C (S-video) and
RGB video signals. The Y/C - COMP. switch must be set
correctly according to the video signal used.
4 Region code label (15)
Indicates the region code of the unit.
5 DIGITAL OUT jacks (OPTICAL/COAXIAL) (21)
Outputs digital audio signals. You must select the
signal type correctly according to the external device
connected to via the Preference display. Both the
OPTICAL and COAXIAL connectors are provided.

VIDEO OUT - S-VIDEO jack (17)
Outputs an S-video signal.
Note that, to use this jack, the Y/C - COMP. switch must be
set to “Y/C”.
7 Y/C - COMP. switch (17, 18)
This selector must be set correctly according to the video
signal type to be used. If you used any signal from the
VIDEO OUT - VIDEO jack, or composite or RGB signal
port in the VIDEO OUT - AV connector, set it to “COMP.”.
If you use the VIDEO OUT - S-VIDEO jack or Y/C signal
port in the VIDEO OUT - AV connector, set it to “Y/C”.
8 AV COMPU LINK jacks
These jacks are provided for use in the future. They are
currently not used.
