Chapter 2: Various Setups
Operation procedure
1.
Set the mode switch of the joystick remote to the
Purple position.
2. While the player is in stop mode, press
SET UP

and
tilt the joystick up or down to display the "VISUAL"
menu of "SET UP MENU".
3. Press
ENTER
to open the setup screen.
4. In the setup menu, select "NTSC = PAL" by tilting
the joystick up or down and press
ENTER

5. Select "On" or "Off" by tilting the joystick up or
down, then press
ENTER
to enter the selection in
memory.
"NTSC = PAL" Setting
(Except for the U.S.A. and Canada)
This setting makes it possible to play an NTSC-format
disc by converting signal into PAL format. Select "On"
when it is required to convert NTSC-format discs into
PAL signals.
Setting items
" " : Select to return to the previous screen.
"On" : Select to enable conversion from NTSC to
PAL.
"Off" : Select to disable conversion from NTSC to
PAL.
"SCART Output Select" Setting
(For Europe and U.K.)
This setting makes it possible to select the output
signals from the TV SCART connector of the player.
(The VCR SCART connector always outputs composite
video signals so its output signals cannot be selected.)
When the "RGB" output signals are selected with this
setting, the COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT jacks of
the player do not output any video signal.
At the factory, the TV SCART connector output signals
of the player has been set to "Composite".

"Composite" : Select to output composite video
signal.
"S Video" : Select to output S Video signals.
"RGB" : Select to output RGB signals.
