- Digital Output: Here you set the digital output signal of
the DVD player.
OFF: No digital audio component is
connected
PCM: a two channel digital audio com-
ponent is connected via coaxial
cable or optical cable.
RAW: a multi channel digital audio com-
ponent i.e. DTS receiver is connec-
ted via coaxial cable or optical cable.
- Night mode: Here you activate/deactivate the night
mode. This setting allows for optimal
sound playback with reduced volume.
The louder transmissions are suppressed
and the quieter transmissions are played
back a little louder. This function is only
possible when using a digital audio com-
ponent.
- ProLogic: Here you set the Dolby ProLogic compati-
bility.
OFF: No Dolby Prologic compatible audio
component is connected to the ana-
logue stereo output (L/R).
ON: A Dolby Prologic compatible audio
component is connected to the ana-
logue stereo output (L/R) of the DVD
player.
8.5. Rating settings
In this Menu you can administer the settings for the child lock
and change the password.
- Parental control: Here you set the child lock in three levels.
G: Only unrestricted DVDs can be
played.
PG-13: No DVD with an age restriction
over 13 can be played.
Adult: All DVDs, including those with age
restrictions over 18 can be played.
To activate the age release you must select the option "Parental
control" in the OSD Menu under "Rating" and enter the pass-
word (8888). You confirm your entry by pressing the button
"OK".
Again select the option "Parental control" and now set the
desired child lock level. You confirm your entry by pressing
the button "OK".
- Change password: Here you can change the preset password
(8888) and submit your own password.
Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
To change the password select the option "Change password"
in the OSD Menu. Enter the valid password. You confirm your
entry by pressing the button "OK". Again select the option
"set password" and enter the new password. You confirm your
entry by pressing the button "OK".
NOTE:
In case you should forget your new password you can use the
factory default password (8888).
8.6. Misc settings
In this Menu you can return the DVD player to its factory de-
faults and set the DVD playback priority.
- Use Default
Settings: Here you reset the DVD player's factory
default settings.
- DVD-Priority: Here you make the setting to decide
whether in audio DVDs with additional
film material priority for display is given
to the music or the film material.
DVD-AUDIO: The music has display priority.
DVD-VIDEO: Film material in Dolby 5.1
has display priority.
