Set the POWER switch to ON.

Use the INPUT SELECT buttons to select the
video and audio input signals.

Switch the time counter display to TC, CTL or UB.

If the recording levels are to be adjusted using the
level controls, set the audio level control selector
switch to the VAR position.
If the recording levels are to be fixed, set the
switch to the UNITY position.
