Installation of the GUIDE Plus+
®
System
The TV channel that transmits the GUIDE Plus+
®
system information
must be installed.
The country and the local post code must be set as described
in the previous chapter.

Installation of an external Receiver
If you have connected an external receiver (satellite receiver, set-top
box, cable TV box), you must also install it in the GUIDE Plus+
®
system. TV programmes (TV channels) that you watch via the receiver
will then also be displayed in the GUIDE Plus+
®
system and can be
programmed for recording.
It is also possible to update the GUIDE Plus+
®
data via an external SKY
satellite receiver from British Eurosport.
1 On the DVD recorder, select the programme number of the input
socket to which the external receiver is connected. (e.g. 'EXT2'
for socket ' EXT2 AUX-I/O )
2 Press GUIDE/TV
3 Select the menubar using A and then 'Setup' using C (second
menu page).
4 Select the line 'Setup' using B and confirm with OK .
5 Select 'External receiver 1' in the 'Setup' menu using B ,
A and confirm with OK .
6 Follow the instructions on the screen.

Installation with/without an external receiver
1 Switch the DVD-recorder to the TV channel which transmits the
GUIDE Plus+
®
data (ITV analogue).
In the unlikely event that you are unable to receive ITV analogue, then
your external satellite receiver can be used to download the data via
British Eurosport. In this case:
- Tune the DVD recorder to the external socket where you have
connected your satellite receiver.
- Tune the external receiver to Britsh Eurosport (P410)
- Leave the external satellite receiver switched on (not standby).
2 Leave the DVD recorder switched on during the night to load the
GUIDE Plus+
®
data.
The GUIDE PLus+
®
programme information will be downloaded in
the next 24 hours.
P When data has been downloaded, following screen will appear
if you press the GUIDE/TV button.
3 To store the setting, please switch off the DVD-Recorder with
STANDBY m for 5 minutes.
