Taking care of your
player
Cleaning the player
Before cleaning the player, switch off and
disconnect the AC adapter.
To clean, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For
stubborn dirt, then wet a soft cloth with a
mild detergent solution made by diluting
one part detergent to 5 or 6 parts water,
wring well, then wipe off the dirt. Use a dry
cloth to wipe the surface dry. Do not use
volatile liquids such as benzene and
thinner which may damage the surfaces.
Cleaning the LCD Screen
To clean the LCD screen, wipe lightly using
a soft dry cloth, such as a glasses lens cloth.
If water droplets are allowed to remain on
the display for a long period, the display
may stain or discolor. If the screen becomes
the very dirty, use a commercially available
LCD screen cleaner.
Cleaning the lens
Performace will be affected if there is dirt or
dust on the lens. To clean the lens, use a
commercially available camera lens blower
to clean the lens. When doing so, be careful
not to touch the lens. Do not use
commercially available CD lens cleaning
discs—they may damage the lens.
Condensation
Condensation may form inside the unit if it
is brought into a warm room from outside,
or if the temperature of the room rises
quickly. Although condensation won’t
damage the unit, it may temporarily
impair its performance. For this reason you
should leave it to adjust to the warmer
temperature for about an hour before
switching on and using.
