5. Using SiPTel IP Phone
5.1. Connecting IP phone to Internet
5.1.1. Using in Dial-up Mode
STEP 1 Press @ISP button on the key pad of SiPTel IP Phone. The built-in modem will try to
connect to the dial-up ISP preset in Modem setup.
If you want to cancel to connect to an ISP, please press ‘@isp’
button again.
STEP 2 If you can see ‘ATDT + dial-up ISP Tel number’ on the LCD, it means that the modem is
trying to call your local ISP telephone number.
ATDT specified the dialtype as TONE and
ATDP specifies the dialtype as PULSE.
STEP 3 If you can see ‘PPP Start’ message on the LCD, it means that the connection to the dial-
up ISP is succeeded.
If you can’t see the left display, please try again.
STEP 4 If you can see the following display, it means that the connection is successful, and
SiPTel IP Phone has obtained a Dynamic IP address from the dial-up ISP.
If you can’t see the left display, please try again.
