Speaker settings
The speaker settings are not displayed on the TV screen.

" Speaker size setting
You can change the sizes of the speakers if they are not supplied ones.
Caution:
To set the speaker size, set the sound mode to "STANDARD".
Note:
The recommended size is set for the supplied speakers. See the upper table on page
42 for other speakers.

Speaker delay setting
When some of the speakers are at a different distance from the listening point, you
can select the speaker delay to make it seem as though the speaker distances are
the same.
Measure the distance between each speaker and the listening position, and set
the speaker delay.
Note:
See the lower table on page 42 for the adjustable range.

Press the SETUP AMP button, and the or button to select "SP
SIZE". Then press the ENT button.
2 Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
select the desired speaker.
The indicators of selected speakers flash.
3 Within 10 seconds, press the or button to select their sizes.
To set sizes of other speakers, repeat the operation from step 2.
1 Press the SETUP AMP button, and the or button to select "SP
DELAY". Then press the ENT button.
2 Within 30 seconds, press the or button to select the desired
speaker.

Within 30 seconds, press the
or button to select the distance
and press the ENT button.
! You can change the distance in 1 feet (0.3 m) steps.
! To set the distance of other speakers, repeat the operation from step 2.
In the left illustration, the front speakers, cen-
ter speaker, and subwoofer are positioned at
10 feet (3.3 m), and the surround speakers
are at 12 feet (4 m) from the listening posi-
tion.
