Cable Box/Digital
Cable Box
Use this hookup if
s You subscribe to a cable TV system that uses scrambled or encoded
signals requiring a cable box to view all channels, and
s You do not intend to hook up any other audio or video equipment to
your TV.
Also, set
Cable to On in the
Cable
settings in
Setup
settings
(see page
34).
Cable System and
VHF/UHF Antenna
System
If you want to watch both antenna (over-the-air) and cable broadcast signals,
you’ll need to use an optional A-B RF switch (not supplied), as shown
below.
Use the A-B selector to switch between the
over-the-air signals and the cable signals. Then
set the
Cable setting in the Setup settings to On
or
Off, as described on page 34.
z To change channels using
the cable box, set your TV
to channel 3 or 4
depending on the cable
box channel output.
Auto Scan will fix the
channel automatically.
