Selecting the color temperature
You can change the quality of the picture by selecting from three
preset color temperatures: cool, medium, and warm.
To select the color temperature:
1. Press MENU, then press
x or to highlight the
PREFERENCES menu.
2. Press
y or z to highlight COLOR TEMPERATURE.
3. Press
x or to highlight the mode you want.
Mode Picture Quality
cool blueish
medium neutral
warm reddish
Adjusting the picture preferences
You can select your desired picture type from three preset picture
modes: Sports, Standard, and Movie.
To select the picture preferences:
1. Press MENU, then press
x or to highlight the
PREFERENCES menu.
2. Press
y or z to highlight PICTURE PREFERENCES.
3. Press
x or to highlight the mode you want.
The table below describes the effects of the different preferences.
Mode Picture Quality
sports bright and dynamic picture (factory setting)
standard standard picture setting
movie movie-like picture setting
memory your personal preference*

Watching video input
You can use the TV/VIDEO button on the remote control or the TV/
VIDEO button on the TV to view a signal coming from other devices,
such as VCRs or video disc players that may be connected to your TV.

Displaying on-screen information
Press RECALL to display the following on-screen information:
Antenna mode (when in TV mode)
Channel number or VIDEO mode selected
Channel label (if preset)
Stereo or SAP (second audio program) audio status
V-Chip rating status
Setting the off-timer
You can set the TV so it turns off automatically.
To set the off-timer:
1. Press MENU, then press
x or to select the SET UP menu.
