C: Satellite set top box setting (Continued)
Basic setup

Press , then press ADJUST (or / ) to set
“Channel digit” to “3 digits” or “4 digits”.
3 digits:
If the connected satellite set top box uses 3 digit
channel selection.
4 digits:
If the connected satellite set top box uses 4 digit
channel selection.

Press ENTER.
“Initial settings” menu returns.
To exit the setting menu, press SETUP button.
If you have set “IR control” to “On” at step 5 (
page
43), test the channel control from the recorder.
1) Turn on your satellite set top box connected to the
INPUT3 jacks of the recorder.
2) Press INPUT SELECT repeatedly to select the Line3
input. (Use this input whenever you view or record
satellite channels on this recorder.)
3) Press the number buttons or CH/Page buttons of the
recorder’s remote control.
Channels can change? If not, shift the G-LINK
®
wand of
the G-LINK
®
cable or try another brand code.
“C: Satellite set top box setting” is complete. Go to “D: Output sound setting” ( page 46).
Note
• This setting will be reset to default if you redo the TV Guide On Screen
®
setup and select “Yes” at the cable selection (step 5,
page 36).
