Analog 2ch:
Select when connected to a TV or
audio system via the analog audio
jacks. (

PCM:
Select when connected to a 2
channel digital stereo system.

page 29)
The recorder outputs sounds in the
PCM 2ch format when you play a
disc recorded on the Dolby Digital,
MPEG1 and MPEG2 recording
system.
HDMI-Auto:
Select when connected to an HDMI
compatible device equipped with a
Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG
decoder.
The recorder outputs digital audio signals in the
bistream format when you play a disc recorded on the
Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG recording system.
If the connected HDMI device does not support Dolby
Digital or MPEG, the recorder outputs sounds in the
linear PCM format. If it does not support DTS, the
recorder outputs no sounds.

Once the proper setting is selected, press
ENTER.
The submenu disappears.
To exit the setting menu, press SETUP button.
