Controlling the DME Satellite from a digital mixer Yamaha PM5D
If you install an MY16-C or MY16-CII interface card on a PM5D Digital Mixing Consol and connect it to the
DME Satellite via the CobraNet connectors, you can remotely control the DME Satellite from the PM5D, as well
as transfer audio and word clock signals between them. Refer to the PM5D/PM5D-RH Owner’s Manual for more
information on the PM5D’s DME Control function.
Network Connection ([NETWORK] Connectors
You can connect a controller such as the AMX or Crestron to DME Satellites via Ethernet, and remotely control
multiple DME Satellite units.
NOTE
•You can control multiple DME series units from a PM5D. Specify the same device group for each DME series unit you
want to control.
•If you have connected a PM5D and a DME Satellite via CobraNet and are controlling the DME Satellite from the PM5D,
you must specify a value of 2 as the fourth octet of the group master DME Satellite’s IP address.
NOTE
The port used for remote control is specified from DME Designer. For details on making this setting, refer to the “DME
Designer Owner’s Manual.”
•Refer to “DME Remote Control Protocol Specifications” on the Yamaha web site for more information on communication
protocols used to control the DME Satellite from an external device (such as those from AMX or Crestron).
