LoadingheavyweightpaperintheFrontPaperFeedSlot

Important

•Beforeloadingheavyweightpaper,changethemediatypesettingtoPOPBoard.WhenPOPBoardis

selectedasthetypeofpaper,FrontPaperFeedSlotisautomaticallyselected.

•AlwaysloadaPOPBoardintheFrontPaperFeedSlot.Loadingitanotherwaymaydamagethe

printerorcausemalfunction.

Note

•Youcanloadonlyonesheetofpaperatatime.

•Storeunusedpaperintheoriginalpackage,awayfromhightemperature,humidity,anddirectsunlight.

•Ifthepaperiswarped,straightenitbeforeloadingit.

•Loadthepaperstraight.Loadingpaperaskewwillcauseanerror.

•Afterloadingthepaper,youcannotmoveitlaterallytorepositionit.Besuretoloadthepaperstraight.

1.IfyousendaprintjobspecifyingPOPBoardfromacomputerbeforehand,thetypeandsize

ofpaperareshownontheDisplayScreen.

•Ifyouwillloadpaperbeforesendingaprintjob,presstheFeederSelectionbuttontoilluminatethe

PaperTraylamp.Ascreenisdisplayedforselectionofthepapertype.Press◄or►toselectthe

papertype,andthenpresstheOKbutton.Next,ascreenisdisplayedforselectionofthepapersize.

Press◄or►toselectthesizeofpaper,andthenpresstheOKbutton.

•Fordetailsontypesofpaper,seethePaperReferenceGuide.(→P.107)Byfactorydefault,Plain

Paperisselected.

•Besuretoselectthecorrectpapertype.Ifthissettingdoesnotmatchthetypeofpaperloaded,it

maycausefeederrorsandaffecttheprintingquality.

2.Checkthespacebehindtheprinterwhenthefollowingmessageisdisplayed,andthenpress

theOKbutton.
