box to confirm the cable box's antenna output
channel.

System Setting
Set Top Box Control
If you have the cable box/satellite receiver connected as
shown on page 16,17, you can control the set top box
after setting up this menu.

With the unit in Stop mode/No Disc mode, press the
MENU button on the remote control.
Menu items differ depending on the disc type.

Select Setup using the …† buttons, then press the
ENTER or √ button.

Select System using the …† buttons, then press the
ENTER or √ button.
System menu will be displayed.

Select Set Top Box Control using the …† buttons,
then press the ENTER or √ button.
Set Top Box Control menu will be displayed.

Select the desired sub menu(Brand Code,
Connection, CH Digit Lock, Mode for SET button,
Control and Set Top Box Test) using the …†
buttons, then press the ENTER or √ button.
Brand Code
Enter the brand code of your cable box or satellite receiver
using the number buttons, then press the ENTER button.
(See "Cable Box/Satellite Receiver Brand Code Table" on
pages 103~105.)
Connection
Select the sub item (CH3, CH4, AV1 or AV2) using the
…† buttons, then press the ENTER button.
If you connect your cable box or satellite receiver to the
recorder's audio/video input. (page16)

AV1 : Select this when the cable box or satellite receiver
is connected to the DVD recorder's AV 1 IN jacks.

AV2 : Select this when the cable box or satellite receiver
is connected to the DVD recorder's AV 2 IN jacks.
If you connect your cable box or satellite receiver to the
recorder's antenna input. (page17)

CH3 or CH4 : Select the output channel from CH3 or
CH4 when the cable box or satellite
receiver is connected to the DVD
recorder's VHF/UHF IN jack.
