SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
LOCATION
For safe operation and satisfactory performance of your unit,
keep the following in mind when selecting a place for its instal-
lation :
• Never leave the TV/VCR in areas exposed to temperature
extremes or strong direct sunlight. Leaving it in closed car, in
direct sunlight, near a heater, etc. can cause deformation of
the case.
• Avoid dusty or humid place.
• Avoid place with insufficient ventilation for proper heat dissi-
pation. Do not block the ventilation holes at the top and bot-
tom of the unit. Do not place the unit on a carpet because this
will block the ventilation holes.
• Install the unit in a horizontal position.
• Avoid locations subject to strong vibration.
• Do not place the unit near strong magnetic fields.
• Do not move the unit from a cold place to a hot place or vice
versa(see the warning below).
HANDLE WITH CARE
• Do not handle the power cord with wet hands.
• Do not pull on the power cord when disconnecting it from an
AC wall outlet. Grasp it by plug.
• If, by accident, water is spilled on your unit, unplug the
power cord immediately and take the unit to an authorized
DAEWOO service center for servicing.
• Do not put your fingers or objects into the TV/VCR cassette
holder.
• Do not place anything directly on the top of the unit.
WARNING
Moisture condensation may occur inside the unit when it is
moved from a cold place to a warm place, after heating in a
cold room, or under conditions of high humidity. If a tape is
played in a TV/VCR that has moisture, it may damage the tape
and TV/VCR. When condensation occurs inside the unit, turn
the power on and allow at least 2 hours for the unit to dry. This
equipment is not operated under conditions of high humidity.
FCC WARNING
This equipment may generate or use radio frequency energy.
Changes or modifications to this equipment may cause harmful
interference unless the modifications are expressly approved in
the instruction manual..
The user could lose the authority to operate this equipment if
an unauthorized change or modification is made.

Unauthorized recording or use of broadcast television pro-
gramming, video tape, film, or other copyrighted material may
violate applicable copyright laws. We assume no responsibility
for the unauthorized duplication, use or other acts which
infringe upon the rights of copyright owners.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• The unit is designed for use with a 12V DC automotive
power supply. Never use it in a truck, bus, or any othe car that
has a 24V power supply.
• Be sure to stop your car in a safe area before watching or
adjusting the TV/VCR.
• Operating the TV/VCR for a long time with the engine of
your car stopped can run down your car’s battery.
• Should the TV/VCR ever begin to emit smoke, abnormal
odor, or a strange noise, immediately turn off power and
unplug the unit from the cigarette lighter socket. Continued
use of the TV/VCR under any of these conditions creates the
danger of fire and electric shock.
• Do not continue to use the TV/VCR if it is malfunctioning
and does not produce a video image or sound. Whenever you
notice such symptoms, immediately turn off power, unplug
the TV/VCR from the cigarette lighter socket. Continued use
of the TV/VCR creates the danger of fire and electric shock.
• When you leave your car unattended for long periods, be sure
to unplug the TV/VCR from the cigarette lighter socket.
Leaving the TV/VCR plugged in can run down the car’s bat-
tery.
INSTALL THE TV/VCR IN YOUR CAR
• For a car equipped with air bags, be sure to follow the manu-
facturer’s instructions whenever performing any electrical
wiring work. Incorrect wiring can cause the air bag system of
a car malfunction.
• Never cut the insulation form the power supply lead in an
attempt to draw power for another device. Doing so can over-
load the current capacity of the lead, creating the danger of
fire and electric shock.
• For proper installation and wiring, special technical knowl-
edge is required. If you have any doubts about where to posi-
tion or how to install components, contact the retailer where
you purchased the product, your automobile dealership, or an
automotive service provider. Note that you will be charged
separately for installation work.
• Improper installation creates the danger of fire and accident.
• Avoid installation in areas subject to strong vibration and
areas where secure anchoring cannot be achieved.
Components installed in such areas can work loose, creating
the danger of accident and personal injury.
• Never install the TV/VCR on the dashboard or in any other
location where it obstructs forward vision. Items that obstruct
forward vision in a motor car may be illegal. Improper instal-
lation creates the danger of traffic accident and personal
injury.
• Never attach the stand to the roof of your car. Doing so cre-
ates the danger of the TV/VCR falling down.
• Never attach the stand to a sharply angled surface or to a sur-
face that causes the TV/VCR to face downloads. Such instal-
lation can cause the TV/VCR to fall.
• Be sure to turn the ignition key of the car to the “OFF” posi-
tion before connecting or disconnecting wires and cables.
Failure to do so creates the danger of electric shock and per-
sonal injury.
DRIVING SAFETY
• Never watch the TV/VCR or try to adjust settings while dri-
ving. Doing so creates the danger of traffic accident. Before
operating the TV/VCR, be sure to stop the car in a safe area..
• Make sure all cables are bundled together so they do not
interfere with car operation, as described in this manual.
Improperly installed cables create the danger of entanglement
with the steering wheel, shift lever, brake pedal, etc.
