screen center. For best stereo separation, place the external speakers at least 4 feet
from the side of the TV. Place the surround speakers to the side or behind the viewing
area. Differences in room sizes and acoustical environments will require some
experimentation with speaker placement for best performance.
NOTE: The magnetic field of external speakers may cause the TV picture to distort if the
speakers are placed too close to the television. Move the speakers away from the TV until
there is no picture distortion.
HOOK-UP CABLES AND CONNECTORS
Most video/audio connections between components can be made with shielded video
and audio cables that have phono connectors. For best performance, video cables
should use 75-Ohm coaxial shielded wire. Cables can be purchased from most stores
that sell audio/video products. Below are illustrations and names of common
connectors.
Before purchasing any cables, be sure of the output and input connector types required
by the various components. Also make sure the cables are the correct length.
