Customizing the Settings
This player lets you set the Parental Setting if the DVD has a
parental lock level recorded on it. With Parental Lock capable
discs, you can block access to material you feel is inappropriate
for your children. Refer to the DVD disc jacket and the
accompanying documentation to see if a particular disc contains a
parental lock level.
Select “Password”, then press ENTER.
Enter a new 4digit password : _ _ _ _
Enter your password using number buttons.
The password is activated, and “Password” setting becomes On.
Select “Country”, press ENTER, then select [International] or
[USA]. If you live in U.S.A., select [USA]. If you live in other
countries, select [International].
Change the Parental Level according to the settings printed on the
DVD disc jacket or accompanying documentation. If you do not
want to use Parental Level, select [Off].
If the parental level of the disc to be played back exceeds the
parental level setting, you have to enter the password to play the
disc.
Note
Be sure not to forget your password. If you forget it, open the disc
tray, and press STANDBY/ON while holding down SEARCH
1 on the unit. Next, press POWER to turn the system off. Press
POWER again to turn the system back on and the password is
cleard.
To change the password
1. Select “Change password” in the setting menu display, and
press ENTER.
2. Enter the current password.
Enter current password : _ _ _ _
3. Enter the new password.
Enter a new 4digit password : _ _ _ _
To clear the password
1. Select “Password” in the setting menu display, and press
ENTER.
2. Enter the current password.
Enter current password : _ _ _ _
The password is cleared, and “Password” setting becomes
Off.
