statesandbeginperformingnormalrefreshoperations.Theremay
beaslightdelaybeforetheVacuumFluorescentDisplay(VFD)
reachesthespecifiedbrightnesssettingwhenexitingtheLow
PowerState.Thisdelayshouldnotexceed1secondfromthetime
thecommandisreceiveduntilthetimetheVFDreachesthe
specifiedbrightness.
TheScreenSavefeaturemaybeinforceduringtheDisplayOn
state.Thismeansthatafteraboutfiveminutesofnonewdisplay
activity,
theScreenSavefeaturecouldtakeoverandcausethe
displaytogoblankorbeginwalkingfromrighttoleft.
Set Low Power State On

Description: ThisstateisusedtoreduceRetailDisplaypower
consumptionandextendthelifeoftheRetailDisplayVFD.Power
isremovedfromthedisplay,buttheRetailDisplaycontrollerisstill
fullyoperationalandcontinuestoacceptcommands.This
commandcausesthefirmwaretoblankorturn
offtheRetail
Display.Displaydatacanbeprocessedwhilethedisplayisinthe
LowPowerState,butitdoesnotappearuntiltheLowPowerState
ischanged.Thedisplayedcharactersarepreservedsothatupon
leavingtheLowPowerState,thedisplayisrestored.Toleavethe
LowPowerState,oneoftheotherstatecommandsmustbe
received.ThisisthedefaultstatefortheRetailDisplayafterpower‐
up.
