Press the VCR power

• Recording starts
• If the erasure prevention tab is missing,
the tape stops, the alarm sounds five
times and the tape is ejected.

Press the REC CHECK
button
• You can check on the record quality
while recording. The VCR will
playback the video recorded a few
seconds prior to pressing the REC
CHECK button.

erasure prevention tab facing

Select the recording speed
• Recording speed is selected using
TIME MODE .
• Recording speed selected is shown on the
display.

Press the P/STILL button
• If pausing for more than five minutes, it
playbacks automatically for self-protection of
the video.
If pausing for long periods of time, be sure to
press the STOP button.

to record again

accidental erasure
prevention?
• It is device which
protects the contents
of recording on the
tape or allows to
record over it again.
To protect a
recording
• Remove the erasure
prevention tab.
To record again
• Attach scotch tape to
the area where the
erasure prevention
tab is removed.
