SYNCHRONIZATION CONTROL
When two or more of this model of VCR are connected
together, the VCRs can be operated simultaneously just
by operating the VCR that has been set to “MASTER”,
without using a system controller (sold separately).
There are two modes available: operator mode and
administrator/installer mode. The operations that can be
carried out in each mode are different.
NOTES:
œ The operation and setting can only be carried out with
the button of this unit.
œ Use cables with a thickness of A.W.G.24 (0.2 mm
2
) or
more and a length no more than 1.5 m to connect
VCRs.
œ It is recommended that you do not connect any more
than 10 VCRs together.
œ Only one VCR can be specified at the master unit.
œ Do not mix operator mode and administrator/installer
mode in the same installation.
œ Do not connect the VCRs in a loop.
œ “TERMINAL SET” in the (OTHERS) menu should
always be set to “SET1”.
œ The VCR operation may not be completely
synchronized depending on the VCR statuses, the
operating environment and the operation timing. It is
recommended that you check the operating statuses
and menus after carrying out each operation.
Connection
Operator Mode
This mode lets you carry out basic operations (ejecting,
recording, stopping, rewinding and changing the
recording speed mode).
NOTE:
œ This mode will not work correctly unless the VCRs are
in the same initial state.

Press the MENU button to display the MAIN MENU.

Press the l (or j) button to select the “4.WARNING
OUT/CONTR. SET” line, then press the ENTER
button.
ø The (WARNING OUT/CONTROL SET) menu
appears.

Press the l (or j) button to select the desired
operation, then press the ENTER button.
SLAVE . . . . . . . . . . . . . The function is restricted
to only the VCR being
operated.
MASTER . . . . . . . . . . The function is applied to
the VCR being operated
and all VCRs that are
connected after it.
œ When the “OPERATION” is set to “MASTER”,
“[” lights on the digital display.
