Symptom
The remote commander does not
function.
When operating this VCR with
the supplied remote
commander, other Sony video
equipment as well as this VCR
start operation.
Remedy
• The batteries are weak. Replace all the batteries with new ones.
• No batteries are inserted in the battery compartment.
• Turn on the power of the main unit.
• Make sure you are pointing the remote commander at the remote
sensor on the VCR.
• Select the same COMMAND MODE on the VCR and the remote
commander.
• The COMMAND MODE selector on the unit is set to “OFF.”
• COMMAND MODE selectors of this VCR and other Sony video
equipment are set to the same number. Change the setting of the
COMMAND MODE selector on this VCR.
