Learning about the remote control
Only the buttons used for operating the TV are described here.
POWER turns the TV on and off.
SLEEP allows access to the automatic TV shut-off function (page 41).
LIGHT The first press of the LIGHT button lights the keypad and turns
on the Illumination mode. With the Illumination mode on, pressing any
other key lights the keypad for 5 seconds (10 seconds if the remote
control is in programming mode). Subsequent presses of the LIGHT
button toggle the Illumination mode on and off.
Channel Numbers (0–9, 100) allow direct access to channels (page 24).
MODE cycles through the six device modes (TV, CABLE/SAT, VCR,
DVD, AUDIO1, AUDIO2). The mode indicator will remain lit for
10 seconds.
FAVORITE allows access to the multi-window feature (page 30).
INFO allows access to multi-window feature (page 30).
MENU allows access to on-screen programming menus (page 21).
ENTER sets programming menu information (page 21).
yz x • Buttons select or adjust programming menus (page 21).
(FAV) x • Buttons select your favorite channels (page 25).
VOL yz adjusts the volume level.
EXIT exits programming menus (page 21).
CH yz cycles through programmed channels (page 24).
CH RTN returns to the last viewed channel (page 25).
TV/VCR toggles between TV and VCR modes.
RECALL displays on-screen information(page 46).
MUTE mutes the sound (page 42).
INPUT selects the video input source (page 39).
PIP Buttons allow access to PIP functions (page 28).
PIP turns the PIP on and off.
PIP CH yz selects the PIP channel.
MULTI allows access to the multi-window feature.
STILL freezes the PIP picture.
SWAP switches the main and PIP pictures.
LOCATE changes the position of the PIP picture.
SOURCE selects the PIP signal input source.
