Problem Solution
The picture has abnormal patterns
• Check the connections on the back of your HDTV and on the back of the
component.
• Make sure that the video input source is within the range of your HDTV.
Compare the video input source’s specifications with your HDTV
specifications.
The display image does not cover
the entire screen
• If you are in RGB mode (PC), make sure that H-Size and V.Position in the
OSD are set correctly. See “Adjusting the Setup Settings”
• Press WIDE on the remote control to scroll through the screen modes.
There is a picture but no sound
• Make sure that the volume is not turned down.
• Make sure that the sound is not muted.
• Check the connections on the back of your HDTV and on the back of the
component.
Your HDTV has pixels that are
always dark or colored
• Your HDTV is manufactured using an extremely high level of precision
technology. However, some pixels of your TV may not display. Pixel defects
within industry specifications are inherent to this type of product and do not
constitute a defective product.
There is “noise” or “trash” on the
screen
• When your HDTVs’ digital capabilities exceed a digital broadcast signal, the
signal is up-converted (increased) to match your HDTVs display capabilities.
Up-converting can cause noise or trash.
The volume changes when you
switch inputs
• Your HDTV remembers the volume level from the last time you adjusted it.
If the sound level is higher or lower from another input, then the volume will
change.
