Making connections
Connecting an HDMI device
To connect an HDMI device:
• Connect one end of an HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI 1
jack on the back of the TV, then connect the other end of the
cable to the HDMI OUT jack on the HDMI device.
Note: You can also connect an HDMI device to the HDMI 2 jack on the side
of the TV.
Note: To connect a DVI device, use a DVI to HDMI adapter cable to connect
to the HDMI jack on the TV, then connect an audio cable to the
VGA AUDIO jack on the back of the TV.
To play from the HDMI device:
1 Turn on the TV, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE menu
opens.
2 Press or to select HDMI 1 or HDMI2, then press ENTER.
Note: You can also press HDMI one or more times to select HDMI 1 or
HDMI 2.
3 Turn on the HDMI device, then set it to the correct mode. Refer to
the instructions that came with the HDMI device.
Connecting a component video device
To connect a component video device:
1 Connect a component video cable (not included) to the
COMPONENT IN jacks on the back of theTV.
2 Connect one end of an audio cable (not included) to the
LandRAUDIO jacks next to the COMPONENT IN video jacks on
the back of the TV, then connect the other end of the cable to the
L and R AUDIO OUT jacks on the component video device.
To play from the component video device:
1 Turn on the TV, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE menu
opens.
2 Press or to select Component, then press ENTER.
Note: You can also press COMP to select Component.
3 Turn on the component video device, then set it to the correct
mode. Refer to the instructions that came with the component
video device.
Connecting an S-Video device
Note: The AV1VIDEO and S-VIDEO jacks share the same L and RAUDIO
jacks.
To connect an S-Video device:
1 Connect one end of an S-Video cable (not included) to the
AV1 IN S-VIDEO jack on the back of the TV, then connect the
other end of the cable to the S-VIDEO OUT jack on the S-Video
device.
2 Connect one end of an audio cable (not included) to the
AV1 IN L and R AUDIO jacks on the back of the TV, then connect
the other end of the cable to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the S-Video
device.
To play from the S-Video device:
1 Turn on the TV, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE menu
opens.
2 Press or to select S-Video, then press ENTER.
Note: You can also press VIDEO one or more times to select S-Video.
3 Turn on the S-Video device, then set it to the correct mode. Refer
to the instructions that came with the S-Video device.
