enter the 3 digits of a brand code of your set
top box obtained from the table (
page 45).
e.g. If you connect a TOSHIBA satellite receiver:

Press ENTER.
“Initial settings” menu returns.

Press SETUP.
“Initial settings” menu disappears.
If you have selected to have the recorder control your
set top box at step 7, turn on your set top box and
confirm that set top box channels are selected by the
number buttons or CH buttons of the recorder’s remote
control. If not, shift the transmitter of the IR control cable
or try another brand code at step 8.
