Changing the SETUP menu
Note
• Once you have finalized a disc
recorded in Video mode, you
cannot edit or record any-
thing else on that disc.
A VR mode disc can still be
recorded and edited on this
unit even after finalizing.
• When you insert a DVD-RW
disc finalized with this unit,
“Undo Finalize” will appear
instead of “Finalize”.
To release the finalizing for
the disc, select “Undo
Finalize” at step 3.
• If appear when pressing
STOP button, you cannot can-
cel finalizing because the final-
izing has been in certain
progress.
When selecting “No” and
press ENTER or RETURN
button, finalizing will be con-
tinued.
You cannot cancel finalizing
the DVD-R disc when it has
been started.

You will need to finalize the discs
recorded in Video mode to play in
other DVD players.
Finalizing discs in Video mode
automatically create title menus.

Press SETUP button to dis-
play SETUP/DISC menu.
SETUP/DISC menu will appear.
Screen:

Select “DISC” using { / B
buttons, then press ENTER
button.
DISC menu will appear.
Video mode:
* VR mode only

Select “Finalize” using K / L
buttons, then press ENTER
button.
Option window will appear.
* VR mode only

Select “Yes” using { / B but-
tons, then press ENTER but-
ton.
Finalizing will start.
To cancel finalizing, press STOP C
button.
Select “Yes”, then press
ENTER button.
Finalizing is cancelled, then the
unit will be in stop mode.
