MULTI PICTURE
ǏP in Pǐ
Follow the steps on page 20 to enter the Function menu and
then select the Multi Picture option as shown on the right.
Press the ŻŹ cursor buttons to set the Multi Picture
option to P in P mode, then exit from the menu.
ƽIn normal TV mode, press the MULTI PIC. button to
enter the P in P mode as shown below. The picture A and
B will show two programs of two channels respectively.
ƽOnce you enter the P in P mode, press the A/B button to
select any one of the two pictures and the red
symbol will appear on the top of the selected
picture, indicating:
˄1˅The speakers on this TV output the sound from the
selected picture.
˄2˅The monitor out terminals output audio and video
signals from the selected picture.
˄3˅The operations such as program selection, etc. are
valid for the selected picture. However, the program No.
selected in one picture can not be the same as that in the
other one. Otherwise the characters ! Not Available will
appear.
Notes:
˄1˅When the RECALL button is pressed, the picture A and B will display their respective program No.
instantly, and the red symbol will appear on the top of the selected picture momentarily.
˄2˅If the HP Select option in the Function menu is set to B, the headphone terminal of side panel always
outputs the sound from the picture B. If the HP Select option in the Function menu is set to A/B, the
headphone terminal of side panel always outputs the sound from the selected picture.
ƽAfter accessing the P in P mode, you can press the SWAP button to switch between the two pictures, ie, to
exchange the program sources in the picture A and B.
ƽPress the POSITION button to move the picture B on the screen in sequence as shown above. Do not fix the
picture B on a particular position of the screen for a long time, or else, it will damage the PRT.
ƽIn the P in P mode, you can press the MULTI PIC. or the RETURN button to exit.
ƽIn the P in P modeˈyou may enter the Audio menu by pressing the MENU button to make adjustment. When
entering other menus such as Picture, it will exit from the P in P mode.
Note: Not all input signal formats are valid for P in P. Even if the signal may be displayed in TV mode before
entering P in P, it may not be displayed while in the P in P mode. In such case, the characters ! Invalid
Signal will appear in the picture A, or the ! symbol will appear in the picture B. This is normal.
