Tuner Set
The VCR needs to find, identify and memorise all available stations in your area in order to
record programmes correctly. Once done, pressing the A or B buttons enables you
to jump to the available channels without going via any vacant channels. This channel
search can be done either automatically or manually. You should only need to perform
either of the following procedures if Auto Setup or Preset Download has failed to identify
and record available channels or you have moved to a new area.
Auto Channel Setup

(not provided) and the TV set is in its AV mode (see the TV
manual), the
AUTO SET screen will appear on the TV and remains there for about 4–12 minutes
while the VCR searches for receivable stations. During Auto Channel Set the

moves from left to right.
The caption

NOTES ON CHANNEL RECEPTION
incorrect station id In certain reception conditions, station names may not be stored
correctly by the VCR and Auto Guide Program Number Set may not work properly. If the Guide
Program Numbers are not set, entering a PlusCode, may result in an incorrect channel being
recorded.
poor reception The VCR memorises all stations found regardless of their quality. If a station’s
quality is poor, you can delete that station from the memory (see page 51).
