Your JVC D-Series projection television comes with
2-tuner PIP/POP. This means your TV can receive
and display two separate video signals at once.
The PIP/POP feature can be displayed in three
ways:
Picture-In-Picture (PIP)
In PIP mode, the television displays a smaller PIP
window within the main television picture.
Picture-Outside-Picture (POP) - Split
Screen
In the first POP mode, the television displays a
second video signal in a window next to the main
television picture.
POP - Three Window Mode
In the second POP mode, the television displays
three smaller windows along the left side of the
main television picture. In this mode, the PIP/POP
tuner moves through all available channels for the
PIP/POP input selected. An active picture is
displayed for several seconds, the picture in that
window then freezes and the active picture moves
to the next window.
Open the PIP/POP window by pressing the
PIP/POP button.
PIP/POP
The first press will open up the PIP window.
Channel numbers for both the PIP window and
main screen will appear. To open the POP window,
press PIP/POP again while the channel number
display is still on screen. The POP split-screen
window will appear. To open the three-window
POP, press PIP/POP again while split-screen
channel numbers are displayed.

In order for PIP/POP to work, the television must be set to “TV mode”. If you play a videotape, your TV will switch to “VCR
mode”. The TV only sees one signal in VCR mode. In order to use PIP/POP, press the TV/VCR button to return to TV Mode.
PIP/POP will not display blocked channels or programs. A blue screen will display instead.
