1 STANDBY/ON switch (DV-525K and DV-525
(Taiwan model) only)
Press to switch the player on or to put in standby
(pages 24 and 27).
2 Display window
Displays system information (page 11).
3 Remote sensor
Point the remote control toward the remote sensor
to operate the player (page 9).
4 0 (open/close) button
Press to open and close the disc tray (pages 24 and 27).
5 7 (stop) button
Press to stop playback. Pressing once enables
playback to resume from a point shortly before the
location where it stopped. Pressing twice causes the
disc to return to the beginning of the disc if playback
starts again (page 27).
6 8 (pause) button
Press during playback to pause. Press again to
resume playback (page 35).
7 3 (play) button
Press to start or resume playback (pages 24 and 27).
8 ¡ ¢ (forward) button
Press to advance to chapters/tracks. Press and hold
to perform fast-forward scanning (page 26).
9 4 1 (reverse) button
Press to go back to previous chapters/tracks. Press and
hold to perform reverse playback scanning (page 26).
0 Disc tray
When loading a disc, place discs in the disc tray with
the label side facing up (pages 24 and 27).
- VNR button (DV-525 only)
Press to turn on the video noise reduction function (page 25).
= STANDBY indicator (except for DV-525K and
DV-525 (Taiwan model))
Indicates that the player is in standby, using a
minimum amount of power to maintain system
settings (page 27).
~ POWER switch (except for DV-525K and
DV-525 (Taiwan model))
Press to switch the player on or off (pages 24 and 27).
! ECHO control (DV-525K only)
Turn to adjust the amount of digital echo effect to add to
the vocals when using the karaoke function (page 25).
@ VOLUME control (DV-525K only)
Turn to adjust the volume of the vocals when using
the karaoke function (page 34).
# MIC input jack (DV-525K only)
Use to connect a microphone (not supplied) to the player
to use the karaoke function. The karaoke function is
active when a microphone is connected (page 34).
