mode is CENTER IN or when the SPEAKER mode
is OFF and AUDIO OUT mode is FIXED (see page
63).
• The surround effect cannot be obtained with mono
sound.
• In some cases, the surround effect may be minimal.
After setting, press MENU to turn the
menu off.

Select the desired SURROUND mode.
SURROUND1 ..... This is an easy way to enjoy SURROUND during
a musical program.
SURROUND2 ..... This is a way to enjoy powerful SURROUND
during a movie.
S. STEREO (Simulated STEREO)
........................... This function transforms monaural signals into
simulated stereo sound.
Use it when you wish to experience a sense of
stereo presence when listening to monaural
signal sources.
OFF .................... Turns off the surround effect.
