Changing the Key (Key
Control)
You can change the key to suit your vocal range.
While playing karaoke, press one of the KEY CONTROL
buttons repeatedly to find the key that suits your vocal
range.
Press KEY CONTROL or KEY in karaoke mode.
To Press
raise the key
lower the key
return to the original key
You can adjust the key in 15 half-tone steps (7 steps
higher, 7 steps lower and the original key).
zYou can change the key using “KEY CONTROL” in the Karaoke
Control Menu display
Select “KEY CONTROL” in the Karaoke Control Menu display
(page 47), change the key using </,, and then press ENTER.
Note
The key automatically returns to the original key when the title
or track changes.

Inserting the Applause
Effect (Effect Mode)
You can insert applause with or without cheers in the
karaoke mode.
To automatically insert the effect at the
beginning and end of the titles and tracks
Press EFFECT MODE to select applause only or applause
with cheers. (You may not be able to do this operation
depending on the DVD or when doing PBC playback of a
VIDEO CD.)
Each time you press EFFECT MODE, the effect changes as
follows:

To instantly insert the effect whenever you want
Press EFFECT DO when you want to insert the applause
effect you selected.
You may insert applause and cheers using this button
even if EFFECT MODE is set to “OFF.”
zYou can set the effect mode using “EFFECT MODE” in the
Karaoke Control Menu display
Select “EFFECT MODE” in the Karaoke Control Menu display
(page 47), select the effect mode using M/m, and then press
ENTER.
