Power Saving
Used to view the screen while conserving power.

Speaker Out
Causes sound to be emitted from the speakers (SS-
SP50FW, not supplied) when this is set to On.
Closed Caption
Displays closed captions.
For details, see “Displaying closed captions” on page 29

Display
Select On to display the input signal information and
Picture Mode for about five seconds at the bottom of
the display panel when the power is turned on or when
switching the input signal.
Screen Saver
Corrects or lessens damage caused by ghosting or
burn-in that may result from the same image being
displayed on the screen for long periods of time.
Pic. Inversion : to invert the image hue
Pic. Orbit : to change the position of a picture after
a predetermined amount of time has elapsed
All White : to turn the screen all white to equalize
the irregularities caused from burn-in
Background : to change the brightness of
background of a picture (aspect ratio 4:3)

Color Matrix
Sets the Color Matrix so that images are displayed in
natural color tones during input of a component signal
from an externally connected device.
For details, see “Adjusting Color Matrix” on page 41
(GB).
HD Mode
Sets the mode according to a HD analog component
signal input to INPUT1, INPUT2 or OPTION.
1080i : When connected to a BS digital tuner
1035i : When connected to a Hi-Vision video deck
(base band) or other conventional Hi-Vision
device
RGB Mode
Sets the mode when a device that outputs RGB signals
is connected to the RGB/COMPONENT connector on
INPUT1, INPUT2 or OPTION.
DTV : When connected to an RGB signal digital
tuner, etc.
PC : When connected to a PC
Sync Mode
Sets the mode according to the signal input to the 13th
pin of the RGB/COMPONENT connector on
INPUT1, INPUT2 or OPTION. Signals can be set
only to 575/50i or 480/60i.
H/Comp : When a horizontal signal or a composite
synchronous signal* is input
Video : When a video signal or a composite
synchronous signal* is input
