Setting up your TV
Using HDMITM CEC
2 Press the Number buttons to enter the length of time
(maximum of 12 hours) and then press the ENTER button. Or
press the /▼(arrow) buttons to increase or decrease in
10-minute increments (maximum of 12 hours).
If a power failure occurs, the sleep timer setting may be cleared.
To display the time remaining until the TV turns off, press the
SLEEP button.
To cancel the sleep timer, repeatedly press SLEEP until it is set to 0
minutes.
No Signal Power Down
The TV will automatically turn itself off after 15 minutes when no
signal is detected. You can change the setting to Off for the
following purposes:
v Low signal strength of analog channel (no signal detection)
v Only Audio L/R is connected to external input to listen to music
through the TV speakers.
To change the no signal power down setting:
1 From the Options menu, highlight Power Management, and
then press the ENTER button.
2 Highlight No Signal Power Down, and then press the ENTER
button.
3 Press the /▼(arrow) buttons to highlight the item you want to
change, and press the ◄/►(arrow) buttons to select On or Off.
v Default setting for this feature is On.
v A warning message will appear 1 minute before the TV turns off.

This is a new feature that uses CEC technology and allows you to
control Toshiba HDMI
TM
CEC compatible devices from the TV
remote via HDMI
TM
connection (see “HDMITM CEC connection”
on page 33)
When Enable HDMI CEC Control in the HDMI CEC Control
Setup menu is set to On (see “Setting up HDMITM CEC” on page
101), the HDMI
TM
CEC functions described below will be enabled.
