Do not use the DVD player when moisture condensation
may be present.
If you use the DVD player in such a situation, the DVD player
and/or discs may become damaged. Connect the power cord of
the TV to the wall outlet, turn on the TV, remove the disc, and
leave the TV on for two or three hours. After two or three hours,
the TV will have warmed up and evaporated any moisture.
Leaving the TV connected to the wall outlet will help prevent
moisture condensation in the TV or DVD player.
Notes on discs
On handling discs
• Do not touch the playback side of the disc.
For example, handle the disc as shown below.
• Do not attach paper or tape to discs.
On cleaning discs
• Fingerprints and dust on discs cause picture and sound
deterioration. Wipe discs from the center outward with a soft
cloth. Always keep discs clean.
• Never use any type of solvent (such as thinner, benzine,
commercially available cleaners or antistatic spray for vinyl
LPs). Using such solvents may damage the discs.
On storing discs
• Never store discs near heat sources or in an area subject to
direct sunlight.
• Never store discs in places subject to moisture and dust (such
as near a humidifier or in a bathroom).
• Store discs vertically in a case. Stacking or placing objects on
discs outside of their case may cause warping.
Structure of disc contents
Normally, DVD video discs are divided into titles, and the titles
are sub-divided into chapters. Video CDs and Audio CDs are
divided into tracks.
Each title, chapter or track is assigned a number (the “title
number,” “chapter number,” and “track number,” respectively).
Some discs do not have these numbers.

the TV will display a message on-screen.)
Some DVDs that have no region code label may still be subject
to area restrictions and are therefore not playable.
