1. By default, STP is disabled. To use STP, it has to be manually
enabled
2. If you are using tagged VLANs, at least one untagged VLAN must
be available for the BPDU’s to propagate through the network to update
STP status
3. Whenever changes are made to STP, it is recommended to disable
and enable STP to ensure the changes are effective
Using STP
The commands used for configuring STP are listed below.
Syntax
show stp <config|ports > - regardless of whether STP is enabled or disabled (default) this
command lists the switch’s full STP configuration, including general settings and port settings
