Problem: I want to reformat the AV400’s hard disk.
Answer: You can do this, but it will erase ALL of the data on your AV400.
Sometimes this may be necessary if your FAT (File Allocation Table)
as explained below, you should run ScanDisk or the DOS chkdsk (Check
and you are sure you must reformat the AV400 hard disk, then go to the
screen Setup > System and press and hold the Right function button
for three seconds. A button “Format HD” will appear. Use this button to
format the AV400’s hard drive. Remember, doing this will erase all the
data on the hard disk!!!
Problem: I would like to partition the AV400 hard disk.
Answer: If you know how to partition a hard disk, this is OK. The AV400
will, however, only recognize a FAT32 partition. Thus it will just see and
use that partition of the hard disk which is a FAT32 partition.
