Playing back in various ways
Selecting the Method of Stopping Playback
(Stop Mode)
Phrases stops playing immediately when the right pedal is pressed during playback of
the phrase, but you can set the phrase to stop playing after fading out or after the end
of the phrase is reached.
You can use this function for natural-sounding fadeouts and to simplify stopping
playback right at the end of the phrase.
* You cannot switch the stop mode during One-Shot playback. Pressing the right pedal
immediately stops playback.
* When you save a phrase after switching the stop mode, the stop mode is also saved at the
same time (“Saving a phrase” (p. 29)).

Hold down the SHIFT (EXIT) button and press the STOP MODE (MODE)
button (continue to hold down the SHIFT button).
The flashing of the AUX IN indicators shows which stop mode is currently selected.
NORMAL indicator flashing:
Pressing the right pedal stops playback immediately.
CENTER CANCEL indicator flashing:
Playback stops after fadeout.
* If the right pedal is pressed during overdubbing, overdub ends at that point.
* The PLAY indicator flashes until playback stops.
* You can still stop playback immediately by pressing the right pedal once again while the
phrase is fading out.
* You cannot overdub while the phrase is fading out.
FLAT AMP SIMULATE indicator flashing:
Playback stops after the phrase is played to the end.
* If the right pedal is pressed during overdubbing, overdub ends at that point.
* The PLAY indicator flashes until playback stops.
* You can still stop playback immediately by pressing the right pedal once again until
playback stops.
* You cannot overdub until playback stops.

While continuing to hold down the SHIFT (EXIT) button, press the STOP
MODE (MODE) button to switch the stop mode.

Release the SHIFT (EXIT) button.
