Star confi guration
A star confi guration uses separate, parallel cables to connect
slave units to an MCP 1000M or to a BME. This confi guration
is recommended when slave units are located in opposite
directions from the master unit. See the fi gure below.

Star/daisy-chain confi guration
Depending on the physical layout of the confi guration, you
can cable the application in combinations of stars and daisy
chains, as long as the total cable length does not exceed 1000 feet
(305 meters). See the fi gure on the next page.
