To connect the set-top box:
1 Connect the set-top box input source cable(s) to
the rear of the TV using one of the connector sets:
■ Digital High Definition Input: Connect
an HDMI cable to any of the HDMI
connectors: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or HDMI 3
(select models only).
Or
Connect a DVI-D cable and DVI-to-HDMI
converter (from digital, high-definition cable or
satellite set-top box with a DVI connector) to
HDMI 1, and left-right audio cables to HDMI
Audio In L and R.
■ High Definition Input: Connect component
video cables and left-right audio cables to the
Component connectors:
■ 1: Component In Y, Pb, and Pr, and
Audio In L and R
Or
■ 2: Component In Y, Pb, and Pr, and
Audio In L and R
■ Standard Definition Input: Connect an
S-Video cable, or a composite video cable,
and left-right audio cables:
■ AV1: S-Video In or Video In, and Audio In
L and R
Or
■ AV2: S-Video In or Video In, and Audio In
L and R

The Standard Definition Input (S-Video In,
or Video In) connectors do not pass high
definition TV signals.

connected components before connecting
