Setting up Canadian French ratings
1 Use the password to access the CONTENT
menu.
2 Highlight Canadian French, press or to
select the rating you want, then press OK to
either block the rating (a lock icon appears)
or unblock (no lock icon).
3 Press EXIT to return to TV viewing, or press
MENU to return to the previous menu.
Setting up RRT5 criteria ratings
If the broadcasting program uses RRT5 (Rating
Region Table-Region5) criteria rating in
accordance with the FCC Rules, its rating can be
downloaded to this TV and can be used for
parental controls.
To set up RRT5 ratings:
1 Use the password to access the CONTENT
menu.
2 Highlight the rating choice at the last line of
the menu screen, then press or to enter
the menu. Ratings and additional options
appear on the screen.
3 Within the menu, press , , , or to
select a rating’s submenu, or highlight
RESET to reset all ratings. (After resetting,
the rating will still appear if it continues to be
broadcast by the TV station.)
4 Press OK to either block (a lock icon
appears) or unblock (no lock icon) a rating.
5 Press EXIT to return to TV viewing, or press
MENU to return to the previous menu.
Using picture-in-picture
To select multi-window modes:
Press the PIP button repeatedly (within three
seconds of each press) to select the
multi-window mode you want. You can
choose PIP, PBP, POP, and Full Screen
modes.
Full screen
In Full Screen mode, only one window appears.
PIP (picture-in-picture)
PIP lets you view two different pictures on your
TV screen at the same time. One picture will be
large, and the other picture will show a smaller
image.
PG Parental Guidance suggested. Some material may
not be suitable for children.
14+ Programming contains themes or content which
may not be suitable for viewers under the age
of 14. Parents are strongly cautioned to exercise
discretion in permitting viewing by pre-teens and
early teens.
18+ Intended for viewers 18 years and older and
might contain depictions of violence.
Canadian French Ratings
E Exempt—Exempt programming.
G General—Programming intended for audiences of
all ages. Contains no violence, or the violence
content is minimal or is depicted appropriately.
8+ 8+ General—Not recommended for young
children. Programming intended for a broad
audience but contains light or occasional
violence. Adult supervision recommended.
13+ Programming may not be suitable for children
under the age of 13. Contains either a few violent
scenes or one or more sufficiently violent scenes
to affect them. Adult supervision strongly
suggested.
16+ Programming may not be suitable for children
under the age of 16. Contains frequent scenes of
violence or intense violence.
18+ Only for adult viewing—Could contain frequent
violent scenes and extreme violence.
Canadian English Ratings
Note
The actual menu options of this rating vary,
depending on the broadcaster.
Note
If you wait longer than three seconds between PIP
button presses, and when the current view is a
multi-window mode, press PIP again, and the
screen changes to full screen mode.
Note
The main picture source can be any video type
except HDMI, but the sub-window can display only
analog TV channels or A/V programs.
