Surround speakers 1:
Connect surround speakers to the TV
when you want to use the DOLBY
SURROUND function to enjoy surround
sound.
• Use impedance 8-ohm type.
• Pay attention to the positive (+) and
negative (-) polarities when connecting
surround speakers to your TV.
• For the best effect, position the
surround speakers at least 1 metre
above the heads of seated viewers.
Front speaker system
(Front L/R speakers 2 and
amplifier 3):
You can use your hi-fi audio system
speakers instead of the TV speakers.
Subwoofer system (Subwoofer
4
):
Using the subwoofer system improves the
playing performance of the low sounds.
• It is particularly effective with the low
frequency effects (LFE) included in
5.1-channel Dolby Digital surround
sound.
• When a front speaker system and/or
subwoofer system is connected, listen
to the sound from the connected
equipment. Depending on the settings,
it may not be possible to hear the
sound using just the TV speaker. In
order to listen to the sound from the
TV speaker without using the
connected equipment, change the
settings with one of the following.
- Set the SOUND SETTING
SPEAKER to ON, or
- Set the SOUND FEATURES TV
SPEAKER to “L/C/R”.
In order to listen to the sound from the
connected equipment after changing
the settings, change the settings back
to match the connected equipment.
