SUBSIDIARY SETTINGS (cont.)
Tuner Set
Your unit needs to memorize all necessary stations in channel
positions in order to record TV programmes. Auto Channel Set
automatically assigns all receivable stations in your area to call
them up by using the PR buttons without going through any
vacant channels.
Auto Channel Set
A
Turn on the unit.
Press 1.
B
Select the VCR deck.
On the unit
Press VCR/DVD repeatedly so that the VCR indicator
lights up.
On the remote control
Press VCR so that the VCR indicator lights up.

Access the Main Menu screen.
Press SET UP.
D
Access the Auto Channel Set screen.
E
Select the TV system.
C Press rt to move the
highlight bar (pointer) to the
appropriate TV system (refer
to the table below), then
press ENTER or e.
Auto Channel Set will start.
F
Return to the normal screen.
Press SET UP.
Using the Confirmation screen, you can delete channels, swap
channel positions and fine-tune channels already stored. Refer
to page 62 for the procedures.
IMPORTANT
Perform the following steps only if —
— Auto Channel Set has not been set correctly by Auto Set
Up .(
pg. 14)
— you have moved to a different area or if a new station
starts broadcasting in your area.
Turn on the TV and select the video channel (or AV
mode).
Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch on the remote
control to the right.
Slide to the
right.
A Press rt to move the
highlight bar (pointer) to
“TUNER SET,” then press
ENTER or e.
B Press rt to move the
highlight bar (pointer) to
“AUTO CH SET,” then
press ENTER or e.

IMPORTANT
If no sound accompanies the picture or the audio
sounds unnatural on some channels that have been
stored by Auto Channel Set, the TV system setting
for those channels maybe incorrect. Select the
appropriate TV system for those channels. Refer to
“TV System Selection – When you see the picture
but the audio can’t be heard or sounds unnatural“
(
pg. 63
).
Since your recorder memorises all detected stations
even if the reception condition is poor, some of
those stored stations may produce a noisy picture.
To delete those stations, refer to “Delete A Channel“
(
pg. 62).
