SMATV or IF frequency channel search
Model 9200 S only
A SMATV network is commonly found in smaller block of flats.
In such a network you will have access to a central antenna sys-
tem.
If the Mediamaster is connected to a SMATV network, select
“SMATV or IF frequency search”.
Pressing the OK button will give a menu where you can enter
different values for “Symbolrate” and “FEC”. However, the most
common alternatives for “Symbolrate” and “FEC” are already
preprogrammed. (You only have to make changes here in excep-
tional cases).
Just press the OK button once again, and the “Channel Search”
procedure will start; Refer to “Channel Search” on page 12.
Channel Search set-up
The information to enter in this menu is available in various maga-
zines covering satellite TV reception, or from your Service Pro-
vider.
You must also use it e. g. if you later want to add channels from
a new transponder.
Antenna Configuration: Select the option, 1 - 8, that corresponds
to your antenna system.
Transponder Frequency: Enter using the number buttons on the
remote control.
Polarization: Select polarization; “Horizontal” or “Vertical”.
Symbol Rate: Select “Auto” or enter with the number buttons.
FEC: Enter the appropriate Forward Error Correction (FEC) value.
Network Search: Select “YES” to search from all transponders
used by a specific Service Provider.
(“YES” is the default setting).
Select “NO” to search only from the transponder that you have
entered on line “Transponder Frequency”. (Useful if you do not
want to search through all transponders for a specific Programme
Distributor).
By pressing the OK button you can now enter the menu from
where the Mediamaster starts to search for channels from the
satellite.
