• It is not possible to play continuously from one side of a double sided disc
to the other. You will need to eject the disc and turn it over.
• When using 8 cm (3Ǝ) DVD-RAM, remove the disc from the cartridge.
1 Press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit to open the tray and
insert a disc. (p. 40)
• Press the button again to close the tray.
2 Press PLAY/×1.3.
• The unit takes some time to read the disc before play starts.
Playing Discs
To stop
Press STOP.
• Press STOP again to return to the television screen.
DVD-V
CD MP3
• When “PB” flashes on the Front Display, resume function is
active. (See below.)
• The screen saver may appear when you stop play. Press
STOP again and you can use this unit's tuner to watch
television.
• The unit will shut off automatically 5 minutes after you pressed
STOP during DVD playback in order to save energy.
To pause
Press PAUSE.
• Press again to restart play.
When a menu screen appears on the
television
1 Press ŸźŻŹ to select the item and press ENTER.
• Some items can also be selected using the NUMBER keys.
To return to the menu screen
Press TOP MENU or SUB MENU.

To cancel the resume function (Normal play only)
Press STOP while the unit remembers the position. (The position
is also cleared when you turn the unit off or open the disc tray.)

1 Press STOP during play.
• “PB” flashes on the unit’s display (Normal play only). The unit
memorizes the position.
2 Press PLAY/×1.3.
• Play starts from where you stopped it.

Notes:
• Depending on the disc, playback may start automatically.
DVD-V
• If cartridge protection is activated (p. 7), play begins automatically when
you close the tray.
RAM
• If an interactive DVD is used, the DVD Main Menu appears.

• If a menu screen is used, it is possible to playback looking at disc tree
view. (p. 53)
