To return to normal speed
Press PLAY/×1.3.
The play speed can be increased without distorting the audio.
1 Hold down PLAY/×1.3 during play.
Slow-motion playback
1 Press ŹŹ FF/SLOW or ŻŻ REW/SLOW while
paused.
• On the unit, hold down ŹŹǿ or ǿŻŻ .
• When slow motion play is continued for about 5 minutes it pauses
automatically.
Notes:
• The speed increases up to 5 steps.
• Press PLAY/×1.3 to restart play.
To return to normal speed
Press PLAY/×1.3.
Frame-by-frame viewing
1 Press FRAME ǿǿŹ or FRAME Żǿǿ while paused.
To return to normal speed
Press PLAY/×1.3.

• Each press shows the next frame.
• Press PLAY/×1.3 to restart play.
• Whether pictures are advanced by “Field” or “Frame” is selected
automatically (see page 68.)
Displaying the television image as a
picture-in-picture
1 Press TIME SLIP during play.
The unit displays the television image as a picture-in-picture.
• You will hear the playback audio.
• Press TIME SLIP again to cancel.

• You cannot change the channel
being received while recording.

Press TIME SLIP.
Skipping the specified time (Time Slip)
1 Press TIME SLIP during play.
2 Press Ÿź to select the time while the indication is
displayed.
• The time indicator will go off after about 5 seconds, but will turn on
again when you set the indicator.
• Press Ÿź to alter in one-minute units. Press and hold Ÿź to alter
in 10-minute units.
3 Press ENTER.
• Play skips the specified time.
